I'm not a vegan, so my expectations were not high. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed every bite. And, so did all of my guests. I think this cake is incredible for not having sugar. Actually, I'd buy it again because it didn't taste like your standard, dry, sawdust like vegan cake. Delish!

Delicious!! We ordered this for our son’s birthday and he loved it! We all did in fact! Wonderful maple flavor. This cake is delicious and moist. The icing is not sickeningly sweet like most store bought icing is. It tastes fresh and healthy. The cake is nice and filling since it is made with almond flour, so you feel good giving it to your kids knowing they are getting protein in their dessert and without gluten. We are repeat customers and will continue to purchase and recommend Sweet Laurel Cakes! Thank you, SL!

It is funny that another review commented on how they thought the maple flavor of this cake did not stand out strongly enough because I thought it was the opposite.
I bought this cake for myself for my birthday. I love maple flavor, and it is not easy to get. I also had the cake shipped to me in San Francisco because San Francisco does not have a bakery like Sweet Laurel in The City.
This cake was wonderfully made and well-packed. I thought you could taste all the flavors, and the maple flavor stood out—the cake was also an excellent accompaniment to coffee. I highly recommend it. 10/10

I purchased this cake and had it shipped to NJ for our friend's anniversary in Dec. 2024. It exceeded our expectations so much that I just purchased another one for my daughter's birthday. This is the first year she's had to be gluten free and I hope she loves it as much as we did. It's deliciously moist, not overly sweet and made with really clean ingredients. It held up well during shipping. Portion size was generous. Highly recommend it!
