Nutella makes the most delicious topping on pancakes...especially pancakes made with our new baking mix! Like all Sweet Laurel treats, our pancake mix is grain free, refined sugar free, and dairy free. We're sharing this yummy nutella recipe to make your breakfast an extra special treat!
Nutella Recipe:
Vegan, grain free and paleo friendly
Ingredients:
1 cup hazelnuts, soaked overnight
1/4 tsp pink salt
4 oz 100% cacao baking chocolate or 1/3 cup cacao powder.
1/3 cup olive oil, avocado oil or melted coconut butter
1/4-1/3 cup maple syrup
Directions:
After the hazelnuts have soaked overnight, drain them and place in blender. Add salt.
Melt the 4oz of baking chocolate over very low heat and allow to cool then add to blender. If using cacao powder, simply add it to the blender instead, no melting required. Add oil and maple syrup to blender. Begin to blend on low and work up to high, scraping down sides if necessary.
Place smooth nutella in jar and place in fridge for up to two weeks.
