As you know, at Sweet Laurel we like to keep sweet things simple. This is one of our favorite desserts- chocolate cake with whipped cream and berries! It is SO easy to put together, and absolutely delicious! Sometimes the simpler things in life are best, and this dessert is no exception! Enjoy!
1 13.5 oz can Coconut Cream (refrigerated for at least 24 hours)
1-2 cups berries
Prepare 1 x Sweet Laurel Cake Mix as directed. Here we use one 8 inch pan, you can also use two 6 inch pans. Allow cake to cool before topping with coconut cream and berries. To frost your cake, place cooled cake on serving plate and top with coconut cream.
To prepare the berries: wash and cut about 1-2 cups of desired berries and place on top of frosted cake. We like to start in the center of the cake, working out way outwards. Towards the center of the cake, feel free to add a few more layers of berries for depth. If desired, you can use edible flowers as well!
